Who we are

Prawn Media is a photography and film business based in Scotland, working across the UK. For privacy questions or requests, email info@prawn.media.

What we collect

If you use our enquiry form, we receive your name, email address, any company or project details you provide, and your message. If you email us directly, we receive the information you include in that email. Our hosting and delivery providers may also process technical information such as IP addresses, browser details and server logs when you visit the site.

Why we use it

We use enquiry information to reply, discuss possible work and manage relevant business correspondence. We generally rely on our legitimate interests in handling business enquiries, or steps taken at your request before entering a contract. Where necessary, we may also process information to meet legal obligations. We do not use contact-form submissions to sign you up to a mailing list.

Who handles the information

Our contact form sends submissions via our configured email provider to our business inbox. Our website is hosted with Hostinger; photographs and other assets may be delivered through Cloudflare R2, and films through Bunny.net. These providers may process limited technical data to provide their services. Their handling of personal information is also subject to their own privacy notices. Some services may process information outside the UK, subject to applicable safeguards.

Cookies and embedded media

Our website does not intentionally use advertising pixels or behavioural marketing trackers. Embedded video players and service providers may use cookies or similar browser storage for playback, security or performance. We will review these technologies and provide consent controls where the law requires them. Your browser settings may also allow you to manage stored data.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiries and related correspondence only for as long as reasonably necessary to respond, manage a potential or ongoing client relationship, and meet any relevant legal or accounting obligations. The precise period depends on the nature of the enquiry. We then delete or securely dispose of information when it is no longer needed.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law, you may have the right to access, correct or erase your personal data, restrict or object to certain processing, and request data portability where applicable. You can contact us at info@prawn.media to exercise your rights. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).

Changes

We may update this notice if our website or working practices change. The latest version will appear here.
